In Honour of Rehana Alledina
Rehanna

Our classmate Rehana passed away suddenly on August 12, 2009. In honour of her memory, the 2009 Queens University MBA graduates would like to make a donation to the South Calgary Women’s Ringette Association.

When we first met Rehana, we found a lively, energetic individual with a passion for life. To her family and friends, Rehana had a big heart and a kind personality. Her smile would light up the room. As her classmates, we realized that Rehana always had a relentless pursuit for whatever she did. Whether it was a class presentation, or a personal endeavor, Rehana had a flair for life that was contagious to whomever she met.

Rehana also had a great passion for athletics. Always willing to participate, whether it was hockey, soccer, football, running, biking…in fact, Rehana was always the first to sign up to participate in any activities offered through the Queens on-campus sports program. She always had a convincing nature about her to make sure that everyone participated! One of Rehana’s favorite sports was ball hockey. A few years back, she had organized a female ball hockey league. As team captain, she was dedicated to ensuring that the team met regularly for games. On class days, she was always multi-tasking, working on her school work and at the same time, making sure that players were ready for the match! No matter how busy she was with work and the MBA program, she always found time to attend her hockey tournaments! She quickly went on to build a successful team and also achieved the status of top player. No matter what the sport, Rehana was a high achiever and a great team player!

Rehana was also very involved in the community which was reflected in her relentless kindness and generosity, creating a positive impact to those around her. As a result, we felt that it would be beneficial to do something locally in the Calgary community that would impact a number of different people and would reflect Rehana’s vibrant, athletic spirit for years to come.

In order to ensure that the memory of her incredible energy and spirit lives on, we would like to donate $3100 towards the South Calgary Women’s Ringette Association for the purchase of jerseys and equipment for the young aspiring athletes.

Please accept this cheque on behalf of all of the Queens Accelerated MBA Class of 2009. Thank you.
